Taiko Drumming

On Tuesday 23rd our class went to see Taiko Drumming in the hall. Taiko drumming is a Japanese type of drumming. They used it to scare off enemies in the war and in the Temples. They learn by learning  each sound means a difrent type of hit.  They told us to clap along with the drum beat it was realy hard. All the classes that where the really got into it. At the end all the people who play  drums went up and palyed the Taiko drums. The ladies played other intruments too. They made there drums from barrels, they didn’t bring there biggest drum because they would have had to take another car. They yelled out sounds for special things. They had special shoes on that seperate the big toe from the little toes. They have to bow twice befor they enter a Dojo, it is a sign of respect.

Monster trucks

This is the Monter truck that visited our school. The Monter truck was called Scooby Doo. Troy the person who brought the Monster truck fired up the engine. When he started it the wheels started to turn. The engine was very loud. It was the first Monster truck that has come to the school.

Visitors to our Blog

Have you clicked on the cluster map on the right hand side? If you do you will be able to see a larger world map showing where the visitors to our blog live.

We have had 955 visitors to our Blog. I wonder how long it will take us to get to 1,000? Think of all the people you know who you could invite to look at our blog and leave a comment: parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends…

This week try to invite at least one new person to visit our blog. If we make it to 1,000 visitors by the end of the term we could have a party?

Please leave a comment and let us know who you have invited and your ideas for a party.
